Over 12 years building and leading across fintech in Nigeria and Canada. I sit at the rare intersection of platform engineering, product leadership, and regulated financial services — and I use that to build things most people can't.
Most people bring either an engineering mind or a product mind to fintech. I bring both — and that's exactly why I can design a system that's both architecturally sound and user-outcomes focused.
Designing and operating cloud-native platforms in regulated financial environments. From EKS at scale to OAuth/OIDC identity delegation, security architecture for fintech, and — increasingly — the infrastructure layer that makes AI systems safe to run in production.
Leading product strategy and delivery for financial platforms at scale. My specialty is translating complex regulatory, technical, and customer constraints into products that actually ship — and stay stable once live. Credit union digital banking, Interac integrations, and AI-readiness roadmaps.
Three stories that illustrate what I actually do — the scale, the constraints, and what it took to get it done.
Led product strategy and delivery for Xpress, Celero Solutions' digital banking platform serving 30+ Canadian credit unions. The core challenge was adapting a complex financial product to meet Canadian regulatory requirements — a deep "Canadalization" effort spanning compliance frameworks, localized workflows, and native Interac payment integrations. The work required bridging product, engineering, compliance, and 30+ institutional clients simultaneously, each with their own member expectations and legacy system dependencies. The result was a stable, scalable platform handling billions in member transactions with a significantly improved client satisfaction score.
Architected and operated cloud-native infrastructure for financial services workloads on Amazon EKS — spanning containerized microservices, IAM/OIDC identity delegation, secure secrets management, and AWS Well-Architected Framework audits. A key focus was establishing enterprise-grade security patterns in regulated environments: OAuth 2.0 / OIDC flows, network segmentation, and audit-ready logging pipelines. Terraform-based IaC ensured reproducibility and drift prevention across multi-account AWS Organizations. This infrastructure approach became the foundation later adapted for AI workload readiness — LLM serving, vector databases, and GPU-aware scheduling.
Before Canada, over a decade spent building financial products and infrastructure across Nigerian fintech — including early roles at Guaranty Trust Bank and later engineering and product leadership at BlickNG and P2Vest. Operating in environments with infrastructure constraints, regulatory ambiguity, and rapidly evolving mobile-first consumer expectations sharpened a problem-solving instinct that formal processes alone can't teach. These experiences inform how I now approach AI readiness in financial services: not as a greenfield luxury, but as a practical engineering and product challenge that has to work under real-world constraints.
Led product strategy for the Xpress digital banking platform serving 30+ Canadian credit unions. Owned the Canadalization project — adapting the platform to Canadian regulatory requirements and integrating native Interac payment rails. Bridged product, engineering, and compliance across a $58B AUM institutional client base.
Designed and operated AWS cloud infrastructure for enterprise financial services clients. Led AWS Well-Architected Framework reviews, EKS workload migrations, and security architecture for regulated environments. Implemented Terraform IaC across multi-account AWS Organizations.
Led product and engineering teams building financial services infrastructure for the Nigerian market. Owned both product roadmap and DevOps practices — a rare dual mandate that shaped a holistic view of how infrastructure decisions become product outcomes.
Cloud infrastructure and DevOps delivery across energy-tech (Arnergy) and peer-to-peer lending (P2Vest) — building reliability patterns in infrastructure-constrained environments. Deep experience with the practical tradeoffs of cloud adoption outside major markets.
Early career foundation in large-scale financial services. Deep exposure to the operational and technical complexity of banking infrastructure — a grounding that informs every platform and product decision since.
Opinionated takes on AI infrastructure, digital banking, and what it actually takes to ship intelligent systems in regulated environments.
AI readiness isn't a model problem — it's a data, governance, and infrastructure problem. Most credit unions are further behind than they think, and further ahead than they feel.
OAuth/OIDC patterns we built for regulated financial services turn out to be exactly what AI agent authorization needs. Here's why.
The shift from DevOps to Platform Engineering is already underway. AI accelerates it — but only if your platform team is thinking about internal developer experience the right way.
Interac isn't just a payment rail — it's a trust system. What integrating it deeply taught me about designing financial products for Canadian consumers.

Open to advisory mandates, consulting, and senior leadership conversations in AI infrastructure and digital financial services.
Whether you're a credit union CTO thinking about AI readiness, a fintech hiring for a role at the intersection of product and platform engineering, or a consulting client with a complex financial services problem — I'm happy to talk.
